
Code Of Conduct

1. Purpose
The Code of Conduct sets out the values and behaviours expected of all members, businesses, partners, and participants in our programs and events. It ensures that The Real Homosexuals of the Southern Highlands remains a safe, inclusive, and welcoming community for everyone.
2. Our Values
We stand for:

🤝 Community – working together to create positive change in the Southern Highlands.
3. Expected Behaviour
All members, businesses, and participants agree to:

Treat others with respect, kindness, and fairness.

Celebrate and support LGBTQI+ diversity visibly and authentically.
-
Use inclusive and respectful language in person, online, and in communications.
-
Respect the confidentiality of community members who share personal stories or feedback.
-
Display Highlands Certified signage (if applicable) proudly and responsibly.

Commit to creating safe spaces that are free from harassment, discrimination, bullying, or exclusion.
4. Unacceptable Behaviours
The following behaviours are not tolerated:

Harassment, discrimination, or vilification of any kind (based on sexuality, gender identity, race, culture, disability, or beliefs).

Bullying, intimidation, or aggressive behaviour.
-
Misuse of Highlands Certified signage in ways that misrepresent values or mislead the community.

Behaviour that brings the Organisation or the LGBTQI+ community into disrepute.
5. Responsibilities of Members and Businesses

Members: Act as visible allies and advocates for LGBTQI+ inclusion in the Southern Highlands.

Highlands Certified Businesses: Ensure all staff and management are aware of this Code and uphold its standards.

Volunteers & Ambassadors: Represent the Organisation positively and respectfully at all times.
6. Breach Of Code

Breaches of this Code may result in:
-
Guidance or education.
-
Mediation with involved parties.
-
Suspension or termination of membership.
-
Removal of Highlands Certified status.
-

Serious breaches will be reviewed by the Organising Committee, and outcomes will be communicated to the parties involved.
7. Reporting Concerns
Concerns or breaches can be reported via our Complaints & Feedback Policy. Anonymous submissions are welcome.
8. Commitment
By joining The Real Homosexuals of the Southern Highlands as a member or Highlands Certified business, you agree to abide by this Code of Conduct and uphold the values of inclusivity, diversity, and pride in our community.
