Community

Our Work in the Community

Community Impact

We create opportunities for queer locals and allies to come together - through events, visibility campaigns, and safe spaces that celebrate the power of diversity. From intimate gatherings to large-scale activations, our work ensures the LGBTQI+ community is not just seen, but celebrated.

Business Partnerships

We partner with local businesses in the Southern Highlands to:

  • Promote LGBTQI+ friendly venues and services through our network.

  • Develop a Pride Ally Business Directory (online + printed).

  • Co-create seasonal campaigns like Tulip Time or Pride Wine Tours.

  • Secure sponsorships and in-kind support (venues, catering, prizes).

  • Provide Pride decals, stickers, and ally-ship training to boost visibility and inclusivity.

Together, we’re transforming the Highlands into a place where equality isn’t just a value, it’s a reality.

Inclusivity

Our Commitment to Inclusivity 🌈✨

At The Real Homosexuals of the Southern Highlands, inclusivity is at the heart of everything we do. We celebrate diversity in all its forms - sexuality, gender identity, culture, race, age, ability, and background. We believe every story deserves to be heard, every voice deserves to be valued, and every person deserves to be seen.

Here, your story matters.

Here, your voice matters.

Here, you matter.

Whether you’re a lifelong local or new to the Highlands, you belong here. Together, we’re building a community that doesn’t just accept difference - it thrives because of it.

Meet Your Southern Highlands Glambassadors

Our Glambassadors are more than just advocates, they’re the fabulous eyes, ears, and voices of the Southern Highlands. Out on the streets, in our venues, and across our community, they shine a spotlight on the stories that matter.

As guest writers and news correspondents, our Glambassadors share lived experiences, celebrate local pride, and keep us connected with what’s really happening in the Highlands. They’re the storytellers, the bridge-builders, and the fierce champions who ensure our collective voice is always heard - loud, proud, and unapologetically authentic.
