At The Real Homosexuals of the Southern Highlands, we know that real community isn’t built overnight - it’s built on decades of connection, courage, and care. Few people embody that truth better than our co-founder, Patrick Glanville.
A Highlands Icon
Patrick is more than a name - he’s a household one in the Southern Highlands. A multi-award-winning hairdresser, respected public figure, and proud member of the LGBTQI+ community, Patrick has been shaping not only styles but also lives across the region for over 25 years.

From opening his own salon in his teens to becoming a sought-after stylist known for excellence, creativity, and integrity, Patrick’s journey is proof that passion and perseverance pay off. His recognition includes multiple industry awards, features in local media, and being celebrated as one of the “Stars of the Highlands.”
But his influence extends far beyond the salon chair. For more than two decades, Patrick has been a connector - someone who knows, loves, and uplifts the people of the Highlands.

Why The Real Homosexuals?
Patrick sees this movement as more than just social events.
“This is not just about having a good social network. It’s about business support and amplifying LGBTQI+ voices. Having been in business here for over 25 years, I know that connections, relationships, and kindness go a long way. It’s about time there was a group that champions friendships and business relationships that have real meaning.”
Patrick has watched the community grow, evolve, and sometimes struggle. He knows first-hand the importance of support over competition, collaboration over division.
“We are here to support our community, not go against one another. The Real Homosexuals is about championing our community - lifting each other up, not tearing each other down.”

A Vision Rooted in Connection
Patrick’s leadership ensures The Real Homosexuals is grounded in kindness, inclusivity, and authenticity. He believes that by strengthening ties between local LGBTQI+ people and businesses, we can create something lasting, a movement that leaves no one behind.
Through his decades of business experience and deep community roots, Patrick brings wisdom, warmth, and a steady hand to the RHSH team. He knows how to build relationships that matter and how to inspire others to do the same.
