HELLO - IT IS US

The unapologetically authentic, rainbow-powered humans building the community you’ve all been waiting for. And now you get to meet the faces, the voices, and the heart behind The Real Homosexuals of the Southern Highlands.
At The Real Homosexuals of the Southern Highlands, we’re not just building a social group, we’re creating a movement. One rooted in authentic relationships, genuine support, care, kindness, and connection across our community.
Whether you’re a father, mother, single parent, same-sex family, or part of our wider queer community - no matter your age, gender, or sexuality - there’s a place for you here. We’re about building meaningful networks that connect people, businesses, and council together with allies, advocates, and supporters. That’s how we ensure ongoing visibility, growth, and celebration of our diverse LGBTQI+ community.
And at the heart of it all? Three fierce, fabulous, and fearless co-founders.

GP - The Corporate Connector
GP, a proud queer man, corporate professional, and loving partner, dad, and dog-dad, is passionate about the impact The Real Homosexuals Of The Southern Highlands is making in the community and local businesses.
“This isn’t just about social catch-ups. It’s about creating an inclusive, safe space and driving meaningful impact on the wider community. I’m excited to collaborate with local businesses that are about change, not just queer-friendly, but truly community-focused.”

“I did not come out. I came alive. Everything I do now, in business, entertainment, and law - is about helping others stand out, not fit in. We’re here to build a movement where every queer story in the Highlands is seen and celebrated.”

🌈 Gay By Nature. Highlands By Choice.
Some things about us are written into our DNA - they are not chosen, not negotiable, and not up for debate. We are gay by nature – queer, proud, and unapologetically ourselves.
But where we choose to put down roots, who we build community with, and the region we choose to call home? That’s our choice. And we’ve chosen the Southern Highlands.
“Gay By Nature, Highlands By Choice” is more than a tagline. It’s a declaration that our queerness is innate, and our choice to thrive here is deliberate. It celebrates our growing visibility, inclusivity, and pride in the Highlands.
🌟 Our Mission in Action
✔ Connection Building genuine bonds between queer locals and allies.
✔ Liberation Advocating for visibility, equality, and authenticity.
✔ Celebration Amplifying queer joy through events, collaborations, and storytelling.
✔ Inclusion Welcoming every person, whether lifelong local or recent arrival.
Our vision: to be the leading LGBTQI+ community network in the Southern Highlands, uniting businesses, allies, and community members to champion diversity in every corner of our region.
